Welcome to the youth ministry site!

Hopefully this site will give those interested more information about how to get involved and go deeper in exploring their faith with like-minded individuals. Whether you are new and interested in attending youth group or if you have been to youth group many times, this site is for you.

Please check out the tabs to learn more about the high school group, La Luz, or the middle school group, P.O.P. Also, keep coming back to check the calendar which is frequently updated. Finally, explore the resources section to find interesting articles, learn about the saint of the day, or to see the readings from the day.

Faith is a lifelong journey and all are welcome to youth group to walk that journey together.

High School Youth Convention: November 7-8

The Archdiocese of Seattle is putting on their annual High School Youth convention at Bellevue College, in Bellevue Washington!

This event is a great way to connect with other High School Catholics, dive deeper into your faith, and get away from your busy schedule at home.

The convention is going to be Saturday November 7 through Sunday November 8th. We will be leaving from St. Mary’s Church in Aberdeen. I’m still figuring out the car pool situation so we’ll either be leaving early Saturday morning (around 6:00am in order to get there by 8am) or Friday night, depending on the driver’s preferences. We will be spending the night at a state camp near by with the other High school youth on Saturday night (and Friday night if we leave then).

The La Luz youth group is paying for it so it will be free! Free housing and food.

If you want more information check out the website:  http://www.seattlearchdiocese.org/OYYAE/youth/Events/cyc.aspx

There are certain forms online the youth and parents need to print, fill out, and sign. After you’re done signing these forms just hand them into the Parish office at St. Mary’s Church Office in Aberdeen. You can hand them in at the front desk. If you don’t have excess to a printer to print them out stop by the office and I’ll give you them!

These Forms can be found in the Form tap on the top of this page.

Also we need adult chaperons to drive and be at the convention. So if you know anyone who would love to check out the convention and get renewed in their own faith please contact me!

If you have any questions or want to chaperon heres my contacts. Phone: 360-532-8300 Extension 104; Email youthministry1@ghcatholic.org

Registration ends October 20th. Hope to Hear from you!🙂
